As America's Clutter Coach, I specialize in helping people discover their organizational style and then using this information to design organizational systems that work with their strengths. I've developed a personality inventory that I ask clients (and sometimes family members) to complete to help me understand what types of systems are likely to be successful. A great tool or system for one client might not work for another.
As a former journalist and multi-published author, I have recently begun offering a service to individuals and families who are interested in preserving their family history. Technology has made it possible to pull together photos, journals and other memorabelia into a full-color, hardbound family history book which then can be purchased online through a print-on-demand service for about $25 each. Clients have told me the books have not only solved the problem of what to do with photos, etc. - but have become family treasures that can be passed on to future generations. After viewing the material you would like to include in the book, I provide a firm project price which includes writing, scanning photos, setting the book up for production and uploading it to the POD website. The files belong to the client so family members can set the price and purchase as many or few books as they want.
