Amy Woidtke: Making space for you / Professional Organizer in Seattle, Washington

Amy Woidtke (pronounced woid-key) has been a professional organizer and move manager in the greater Seattle area for more than two decades. She founded Amy Woidtke: Making Space for You in 2008 with two clients and has since worked with more than 1,000 households across the Pacific Northwest. A second market in Phoenix East Valley, Arizona opens in October 2026.

Amy operates at the intersection of psychology and design-build. Her parents were entrepreneurs in the design-build industry, and she grew up understanding how a home is framed, finished, and lived in. Her degree in psychology from UC Davis taught her how people actually function inside one. Both halves show up in her work.

She helps people make their homes work for the life they want. Her clients include couples merging or separating households, retirees rightsizing for the next chapter, families clearing estates, snowbirds setting up dual-state lives, and a steady stream of creatives, entrepreneurs, rabble rousers, and other interesting people in transition. She works in partnership with realtors, stagers, interior designers, therapists, divorce attorneys, and marriage counselors who refer clients into her care during major life shifts.

What drives her is a belief that a home should serve the life inside it. She practices and promotes sustainability through reuse, repurpose, and conscious consumption. She has built her business as a deliberately safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ and allied clients. She is a longtime supporter of Humble Design and Mary’s Place, helping furnish homes for families transitioning out of homelessness, and encouraging clients to donate reusable belongings into that pipeline whenever possible.

Amy leads a talented team of professional organizers chosen for empathy, discretion, and the patience this work requires. They bring systems thinking, a calm presence for clients managing overwhelm, and a design sensibility for matching organization to how a person actually lives.
When she is not on a client project, Amy finds herself in beautiful natural spaces with her partner, dancing, volunteering, or deep in a craft project with a good show on in the background. Her former and current clients alike may be at a gathering she is hosting or inviting her into a new project as their life stories continue to unfold.
