I am a Mama and a former elementary school teacher, who struggled with my own ADHD and so-called "natural messiness" in my personal and professional life. I understand the crazy! I understand the overwhelm! I understand the low self esteem, and also the embarrassment should anyone just decide to pop by. I thought I just had to accept I was a "naturally messy" person and probably couldn't change, even though I had possibly the most organized Mama on earth. (Who cleaned up after me my whole life...more on that when we meet! It pays to help your children become organized early on.) After years of deep decluttering, reading, meditating, and figuring out what truly matters to me....I can confidently say that minimalism is my lifestyle. It keeps me sane. It is good for my mental health. It means I focus on the important things. I am most discerning of what enters my life now. Having two kids under the age of three forced me to embrace systems, and planning, and schedules as something that can actually set you free....not cage you in.
I am passionate about Simplicity Parenting, and making a child's environment the "third teacher." It is so important and often overlooked completely at home and in schools. I also want to help moms and dads figure out some life hacks that can make the daily grind, seriously, so...much...easier!
